THE SHAKA

In Hawaii, we use the Shaka to express solidarity. The gesture also means “Hang loose,” “Right on,” “Things are great,” and “Take it easy”. We had to name this bike after the Shaka as it's also the best way to describe this bike as an Electric Cruiser/Commuter Bike. Featuring a 750W Geared Hub motor and a 7-speed gear shift system, this easy rider can be used to cruise the coast or conquer the mountains. The cruiser style handlebars and mountain bike frame allow you to ride up to 45+ miles over all sorts of terrain with the Kenda Juggernaut 4" fat tires. Like a cruiser, you can ride in comfort with front wheel MOZO suspension and an oversized gel seat. Hydraulic disc brakes set the standard for braking excellence and the sleek designed frame will have people asking you all about your new bike. The handlebar mounted control screen offers you 5 different levels of pedal assist so that you can dial in the perfect amount of power. You can also use a thumb throttle and ride the Shaka electric bike like a moped. Riding in the dark is a breeze with front and rear lights ensuring maximum safety at night.

THE PERFECT POWER

 The high quality battery for the Shaka comes in at 48 Volts and 16 Amp Hours. What does that mean? Simply put, a higher voltage battery is able to deliver the same amount of power using less current, this means you'll get awesome power from your bike while generating less heat in the motor and controller. A higher voltage also allows you to get more range out of your bike before you notice any decrease in power. Amp hours can be thought of as the amount of gas your battery can hold. A higher amp hour number means you'll get more range per charge. We regularly have customers tell us they're able to ride up to, and even over, 45 miles per charge.
